Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2025. Tabs4Ukraine is a Chrome extension that displays non-intrusive advertisements to generate revenue for humanitarian support in Ukraine. We partner with verified humanitarian organizations including UNICEF, Save the Children, Doctors Without Borders, World Central Kitchen, the International Rescue Committee, and other trusted organizations supporting humanitarian relief efforts for Ukraine. We are committed to protecting your privacy and minimizing data collection.
We collect only the minimum information needed. Your settings, like showing shortcuts, theme, and the number of sponsored shortcuts, are stored locally in your browser. Your donation total is cached locally for quick display. We do not collect your browsing history. If you show ‘most visited’ sites, Chrome’s topSites is only used on your device. We do not transmit or store these lists on our servers.
Ad Practices, Analytics & Data Sharing
Ads are displayed only within the new tab experience and sponsored shortcuts. Revenue from ad impressions and clicks supports trusted humanitarian organizations. Ad creative may come from our servers or trusted CDNs. We do not use third-party tracking scripts or fingerprinting techniques.
We avoid invasive analytics. Only limited, aggregate metrics such as total impressions or clicks may be recorded on the server. These are never personally identifiable. If you are logged in, counters may be tied to your user ID for impact reporting and fraud prevention only.
We never sell your personal data. Aggregate metrics may be shared with partners solely for donation audits and ad performance. Legal disclosures are only made when strictly required and with the minimum necessary data.
Permissions, Security, Retention
The extension requests Chrome permissions essential to its features, including storage, topSites, bookmarks, and activeTab. These permissions are only used locally and do not access or transmit private data without your explicit actions.
We safeguard data using industry-standard security, HTTPS, and access controls. However, no online service is completely secure; use the extension at your own discretion.
Local settings remain on your device until you uninstall or clear your browser data. Account data is held while your account is active. Deletion or export of your data is always available upon request.
Children’s Privacy & Contact
Tabs4Ukraine is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe your child has submitted personal data, please contact us for prompt removal.
